Visiting Zoologico Barranquilla in Colombia is a fun, animal-filled experience. The 10,000 square meter zoo is home to various animal species both native and foreign to Colombia making it among the major sites to go to while in the area.
One of its most popular attractions is a white tiger listed in the endangered species list. The park also has flamencos which are popular for their pink feathers. The idea of putting up the park goes back to the '30s when the lot was donated by Tomás Suri Salcedo.
Since then, the zoo functioned as a home for endangered species and those that are endemic to the country.
