The Wat Pho (Wat Phra Chetuphon) or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is in Bangkok. The 46 meter long and 15 meter tall statue of the Buddha is covered in gold leaf, and is quite remarkable. The feet of the idol deserve special attention. They depict the characteristics of Buddha.
This temple complex is in walking distance from the Royal Palace. It is recommended that visitors take their time exploring the complex as there is much to see and discover. The murals on the walls are exquisite, as are the four smaller temples that house 394 golden Buddha idols.
