Around 700,000 people visit the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis each year, making it one of the most visited contemporary museums in the US.
It was established in 1879; since then the building and the number of exhibits have grown, and today the museum has about 13,000 paintings, photographs, prints, sculptures and drawings.
Artists such as Warhol, Klein and Hopper have works on display here, and the center is also home to a performing arts center, and a film and video department.
A restaurant, shop and space for special events are here too, and the entire complex is located in the historic Victorian neighborhood of Lowry Hill.
