Japan is famous for its host of miniature art forms (think bonseki, bonkei, saikei, bonsai, and so on) and Tobu World Square, a theme park near Kinugawa Hot spring in Tochigi Prefecture, stands as a striking example of Japanese' love of miniatures.
The huge square exhibits many famous buildings, monuments and cultural sites from all over the world in replicas of 1/25th scale. The miniatures are reproduced with great attention to all the many details that surround a site including trains, cars as well as miniature people.
The square is divided into various zones of the world. There is the Japan Zone, the Asia Zone, the Europe Zone, the Egypt Zone, the America Zone as well as a Modern Japan Zone. So, if you want to visit the ancient temples of India a minute or so after you had done visiting the Sphinx, the Tobu Square is your one and only chance to achieve such a distinctive feat!
