North Park Village Nature Center
There are a lot of people who love what the city of Chicago and surrounding area’s provide, but there is something to be said to have the ability to escape and experience the outdoors. That is exactly what this nature preserve provides. Located just south of town, there are 46 acres for people to enjoy.
What really stands out is the amount of hiking trails and areas to spot wildlife. There are a lot of birds who like to call this part of town home, especially during the peak seasons.
Not only is this a fun place to visit alone or with a significant other, but it’s a learning center as well. Children in particular can learn a lot about nature by paying it a visit. It is a very popular field trip for students in the area because of this.
Lincolnwood Town Center
The shopping mall has been around for almost 30 years now, and although stores have come and gone, it still remains a hub for the area. There are over 100 shops in the mall, and residents from other neighborhoods will stop by to pick up what they need.
They have also built the area around the town center up quite a bit, which is great for people who want to explore other parts of the city. It’s easily accessible on bus routes throughout the day, so visitors don’t need to worry about transportation. Since it is indoors, it’s nice to get a relief from the heat during the summer while shopping as well.

There are a lot of great restaurants in the area, but one with a great rating overall is it casual place known as L. Woods Tap & Pine Lounge. It gets popular on certain evenings, but it is open for lunch as well. It has a nice locally owned atmosphere that a lot of people look for when they are traveling.
It’s location is convenient for visitors, and if their menu doesn’t look all that appetizing, there are other restaurants close by. It’s worth having at least one meal there, because they try to make everyone feel welcomed with food that doesn’t feel too pretentious.
