Transylvania Heritage Museum
Want to learn about local history while visiting? This is the perfect place to start. It is a very old home that has been transformed into a cute museum that has several artifacts, photos, and other exhibits from the county.
Keep in mind that they are only open Wednesday through Saturday. It is not a museum that is going to take all day long, but it is still a great starting point when checking out the small downtown area of Brevard.
There are a lot of beautiful homes in the area, but the Silvermont Mansion is the most impressive of them all. It is now a park and museum for people to explore when in the area.
Anyone who enjoys looking at architecture from a bygone era should make a stop. They have done a great job preserving the look and feel of the mansion almost as if it is a step back in time.
For over 160 years, Brevard has been the home to Brevard College. It is a small liberal arts college that has an enrollment of just around 700 students. The campus has many interesting structures, including the notable Brevard College Stone Fence and Gate at the entrance.
