The Royal Opera House of Mumbai built in 1915, is the lone surviving such structure in India.
With a glorious history spanning over 100 years, the Opera House has been one of the most important institutions in the country's cinema culture. The building looks impressive with a Baroque design that blends elements of European and Indian architectural styles.
While in the initial years, the House catered to only the city's elite, with changing tastes, it began to showcase films and fashion shows as well.
