The Pier in White Rock is one of the best places this side of British Columbia to catch the sunset. Known for its gorgeous beachside scenery, the Pier is home to a boardwalk dotted by shops, cafes, and restaurants. Resident artists and authors flock here for coffee and conversations as they enjoy the sight of the tide coming in.
From the Pier, you get a good view of Mount Baker, the Gulf Islands, and the San Juan Islands. This is also a good jump-off point for the popular whale-watching cruise. The place can be pretty busy in the summer, so make sure to arrive early.
