The Beatles played at the Cavern Club almost 300 times in the early 1960s before being discovered by manager Brian Epstein.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Today’s club is a reproduction of the original music venue which was unfortunately demolished in 1973; the new venue is thriving, and offers regular live music performances.
The club also incorporates hundreds of bricks etched with the names of local rock groups and singers, that were salvaged from the old club.
The club is located on Mathew Street, in the heart of Liverpool’s Beatles quarter, an area with several Beatles shops and themed restaurants and bars.
