The archaeological complex of Huaca Rajada (Lord of Sipan) is a jewelry-filled and elaborate Moche warrior priest tomb located in northern Peru.
The year 1987 saw some world-class tombs found in Huaca Rajada. While the entire complex of burials has been currently unearthed, the Mochican warrior priest's tomb, the treasures, and the abundance of archaeological information about the barely known Moche civilization are emerging continually. In fact, huge museums have been constructed just to house the prehistoric relics.
The complex is located outside the Sipan village, which is approximately 30 minutes from the major city of Chiclayo. Surprisingly, the tomb is completely intact and there to be witnessed in its complete glory.
