St. Donat's Church is an iconic place of worship situated in Zadar. Its construction commenced in the 9th century, thus making it a fascinating attraction for many visitors. However, the church's name was previously Church of the Holy Trinity. The changes to the current name took place in the 15th century.
It occupies an iconic Pre-Romanesque building that is widely believed to be the largest in Croatia. The building was previously domed before being transformed into a circular shape and it represents the Carolingian period. Visitors can expect to see an ambulatory in addition to several apses that are radially positioned.
