Shri Swaminarayan Temple is a renowned Hindu temple in the city of Bhuj.
It was constructed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan in 1824. The structure was destroyed during the earthquake in 2001 and the majestic new temple, made wholly of gold and marble, was inaugurated in 2010. The architectural masterpiece is a sheer treat to the eyes. The ceilings and pillars of the structure have several exquisite carvings and are impressive to watch too.
The temple houses idols of several Hindu deities and is thronged by a large number of devotees every day who come to offer their prayers. Spacious, clean, and well maintained, the temple is a wonderful place to rejuvenate and experience inner peace.Places nearby:
