The Russian Cruiser Aurora has been preserved as a museum ship and is anchored at Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is a protected cruiser and one of the three Pallada class cruisers that were commissioned by Russia. The Aurora is known to have been an integral part of the October Revolution, and is believed to have sparked the Bolshevik Revolution.
It is one of the few protected cruisers in the world that has been restored and opened to the public. Until 2013 this museum ship had an active crew on board.
