Located right in the heart of San Jose, Plaza de la Cultura is often packed with tourists and locals.
Many of its visitors can be seen admiring the architecture of its landmarks while others are busy enjoying the place's street life. The plaza is quite vibrant and a visit to the area is not complete without its ambulant vendors, juggling clowns, and its benches where tourists usually rest. Although newly renovated, its architecture still honors Colombian heritage.
It offers access to the National Theater located just a few steps away. It is also nearby the Gold Museum, Gran Hotel Costa Rica, and Central Avenue.
