Piata Victoriei (Victory Square) is a huge expanse of concrete traffic that houses three fine museums: the Peasant, Geology and Natural History museums.
On the square's eastern side is the Romanian government's seat, the Palatul Victoriei, which was built during the 1930s. Also, the square is Calea Victoriei's starting point, the most famous street of Bucharest. If you like shopping and don't mind walking a bit, you would like a stroll on this street.
The structures around the square are basically archetypal Socialist monstrosities, the primary government building, Palatul Victoria, etc. If you're touring Bucharest, your tour would be incomplete without a visit to Piata Victoriei.
