The Phimai Historical Park is a beautiful open area in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, and also home to one of the biggest Khmer temples in the country. Its location is one end of the Ancient Khmer Highway, with buildings going up during the 11th and 12th century.
In today's world, a lot of people visit the area to not only learn about history, but take in the architecture. It is classic Khmer architecture, and although they have gone through some rehabilitation projects in the past, it is still holding up and looking as good as new. For a taste of history, it doesn't get much better in the small town of Phimai.
