Parque Tangua is a popular park in the busy and bustling heart of Curitiba. It lies in the former Gava family quarries, between Curitiba and Almirante Tamandare. Although it is 8 km from the city center, the park is easily accessible by car or public bus and is a favorite haunt for those who want to break away from the city, even for just a few hours. Tangua Park is famous for its lakes and its artificial waterfall around which other park attractions are placed.
The park boasts of a large French garden complete with mirrors and a gazebo, as well as lookout decks, shops, and a bistro. Parque Tangua is also home to the Poty Lazzarotto Garden, built to commemorate the local artist Napoleon Potyguara Lazzarotto.Places nearby:
