The Royal Palace of Naples, known locally as Palazzo Reale di Napoli, was one of several residences for the Bourbons who ruled from the 18th-19th century. Designed with a Neo-classical, Italian Baroque Style, this building has an imposing façade, a grand stairway, and a regal throne room. Statues depict famous rulers of Naples from the 1100s to the 1800s.
It was initially intended to accommodate the King of Spain during his promised visit, but that was never fulfilled. Other prominent visitors lived here instead until the Bourbons finally made it their home. The building is rich is art and history.
