Built during the 11th century, Palacio de la Aljaferia is a well-preserved Moorish Islamic palace located in Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. Currently, it houses the parliament of Aragon and is considered to be a historical and artistic monument.
The Palace has plenty of architectural and artistic value. It has beautiful painted ceilings, a medieval fortress exterior, luxurious interiors, lush gardens, coffered ceilings, intricate Moorish arches, engraved artifacts and detailed wall carvings.
