In 1995 a domestic terrorist killed 168 people in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in what remains the worst domestic terrorist incident in the US.
The Oklahoma City National Memorial was built two years later to honor those who died, as well as all those who were affected. It's located on NW 5th Street in downtown, alongside the site of the building that was destroyed in the explosion.
The memorial includes a reflecting pool, 168 empty chairs, a survivors' wall and the gates of time which highlight the time of the attack, 902 am. There's also a children's area featuring hand painted tiles from all over the country.
