Nicolae Romanescu Park is a park located in the middle of Craiova, Romania. With 23 acres, it is the largest natural park in Eastern Europe. The park was designed by French architect Edouard Redont in 1903 and is filled with maple, oak, fir and lime trees. It is ideal for jogging, walking or cycling.
Romanescu is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city because it has plenty of things to see and do. It has a 10-acre lake with water lilies, boat rides, a suspended bridge and a picturesque water fountain. In addition, visitors can enjoy shaded patios for snacking and relaxing.
Park goers can also enjoy the park's small castle, Craiova hippodrome and the Belvedere Dome.
