The National Space Centre in Leicester, United Kingdom has the country's largest planetarium. It also has an impressive 42 meter tall rocket tower and as many as six interactive galleries that leave visitors awestruck. It is both, a museum, as well as a resource center for astronomy, cosmology as well as space science.
The Space Centre was founded by the University of Leicester in collaboration with the government. It receives visitors of all age groups, and organizes workshops for school children. The Soyuz Spacecraft displayed here is one of three that are exhibited in the western world.
Other popular attractions include the Thor Able and Blue Streak rockets in the rocket tower, a genuine moon rock as well as the Apollo Lunar Lander.
