Nagoya City Science Museum, one of the main attractions of the city, is a seven-storied museum that offers its visitors an opportunity to learn different aspects of science firsthand via a host of interactive experiments.
These include a number of huge displays including the 'Deep Freezing Lab', the 'Electric Discharge Lab', the 'Tornado Lab' and many more. These are part of the permanent exhibits of the museum that are spread across five floors of the building. The museum also hosts many temporary exhibitions that are typically held at the basement floor.
The focal point of the museum is however the planetarium (one of the world's largest such) that is housed inside a giant silver globe. The planetarium arranges a new set of programs and features every month covering most of the current astronomical phenomena.
