Opened in 1980, Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino is a museum located in the middle of historic Santiago, Chile. It is in close proximity to city markets and governmental buildings. The museum showcases pre-Columbian art and anthropological and archaeological finds.
Collections include Amazonia, the Andes, pan-caribbean and Mesoamerica artifacts. It is a blend of not only Chilean culture but also of all Central and South American culture. It displays cultural pieces such as textiles, masks, jewelry, sculptures and musical finds.
For its guests, the museum offers a gift shop, a cafeteria, interactive exhibits, guided tours, cultural animations and audio guides in various languages.
