Minack Theater is carved directly into the crags that over look the blue Atlantic and Porthcurno. It is a visually stunning, clifftop, open-air amphitheater, commissioned by Rowena Cade in the 1930s.
Given that the theater seats are carved out of granite, experienced theater-goers often bring their own comfortable cushions. In fact, it's not uncommon for people to carry in picnic supplies, wine, and proper wet-weather gear. Performances are staged from the middle of May until the middle of September.
