The Malecon near the Puerto Vallarta area in Mexico is a pathway/road that follows along with the edge of the sea.It was remodeled and inaugurated in November 2011.
The north side of this road begins at Hotel Rosita (Millenia Statue) and it ends by the Ampitheater. It contains restaurants, stores, bars, statues, and a variety of sea-side artists, locals and artists. The sights of the sea are absolutely breathtaking.
This is about 11 blocks long in the downtown area, and over 80 percent is blocked off for bicyclists and pedestrians. There are regular shows there each day and there is a great deal of nightlife between the bars and various theater and more.
