Constructed between the 12th and 15th centuries, Lyon Cathedral occupies a prominent position in the heart of the old town in France's second city.
There is a large square in front of the cathedral and the Saone River flows behind it. Inside, the stained glass windows are worth seeing, as is the ornate Chapel Of the Bourbons with its unusual vaulting and window tracery.
