Loro Parque is a 33-acre park in Tenerife, Spain that is a paradise for different animals and plant species. The name is Spanish for “parrot park.” It is home for more than 4000 parrots, consisting of 350 species. This is the largest collection of parrots in the world.
It also holds other records when it comes to the animal kingdom. For example, it has the largest European dolphin show pool. It also has the world’s largest indoor penguin exhibition. In addition, the park has the longest European shark tunnel.
In addition to the many species of parrots, the park is home to parakeets, macaws, cockatoos, laughing kookaburras, great curassows, black swans, jaguars, seahorses, tigers, western gorillas and marmosets.
