Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago is one of the best zoos in the US, as well as one of the oldest.
The gates first opened in 1868; today the zoo is still one of the few major zoos with free admission. Around 1,100 animals can be seen on the 35 acre site, including monkeys, big cats and reptiles.
