Lam Phaya Floating Market, a weekend market in Nakhon Pathom province and a mere 45-minute drive away from Bangkok, is an interesting place to explore if you are anywhere near Bangkok.
Nestled along a part of the Tha Jeen River, the place is not touristy at all. The part of the market stands on solid ground while the other part consists of vendors who sell their wares from floats docked on the river shore. In the land section, you will find anything from takeaway snacks and curries to potted plants, although we strongly recommend that you check out the special Thai fruit pomelo (or som-o, as they call it in Thai).
