The La Aurora Zoo was founded in 1924. It was then an integral part of an area known as the Parque Reforma, which included museums and a hippodrome. Since the construction of the nearby international airport, the museum lost some of its distinguished neighborhood. However, it is still one of the largest parks in the Guatemala City.
The zoo is divided into three distinct sections that house animals from The Americas, Asia and Africa. The extensive grounds of the Parque Zoológico La Aurora lend it a unique and charming appeal. There is an admission fee for entry to the zoo.Places nearby:
