Kudroli Gokarnath Temple, located close to the heart of Mangalore, was constructed in 1912 by Sri Narayana Guru.
It was built especially for the Billava community who were barred from offering prayers in other temples. The magnificent temple complex has several smaller temples surrounding the main temple that enshrines Gokarnanatheshwara, a form of God Shiva.
The temple has four big pillars put up in the beautiful Tamil Nadu architectural style and adorned with exquisite murals that depict scenes from various epics and mythology.
