Covering about 450 square miles, Khao Sok National Park is located in southern Thailand.
It's known for its dramatic peaks of mudstone and sandstone, some of which rise to over 900 meters in height, and its large expanse of virgin forest, one of the country's largest. Trekking in the park is popular, with many companies offering overnight camping, and several of the trails take in waterfalls and cave temples.
Also popular is boating, tubing and rafting on the Sok River, and the park offers opportunities for zip lining.
It's also a great place to see wildlife, including wild boar and deer, tigers and elephants.
