Jakhu Temple is a famous ancient place of worship in Shimla and is dedicated to Hanuman, a Hindu deity. It is the highest point in the hill station and can be reached by a steep upward climb through tall, beautiful Deodar trees.
Visitors can hire a vehicle too to reach the place. The temple complex is large and beautiful, and visitors can see breathtaking views from the top. The original temple is small and still retains the ancient look of a local Himachali temple.
The major attraction here is the giant Hanuman statue that extends to 108-feet and can be seen from down in the town too.
