One of the best art museums in the Netherlands is the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, which was established in the 1930s.
Although it's perhaps best known for having the largest collection of works by the abstract painter Mondrian, it has plenty more to see. Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas and Stella are represented in the painting collection, and there's also a collection of around 50,000 prints from the 20th century.
Other departments include a music library and musical instrument collection, as well as fashion accessories, prints and drawings by some of the most well known modern designers.
Also part of the museum is the Hague Museum for Photography.
