This Gaziantep Kalesi and the museum are home to almost two thousand artifacts relating to the resistance of this beautiful city against enemy occupation. When you look at its history, it is not known exactly when the castle was built but it is said to date back to the Roman period.
You will find sculptures reflecting the War of Independence at the entrance. Surrounded by stone walls, this facility has 12 towers. The castle looks magnificent after restorations in the early 2000s. Although it is not possible to visit the open area, you can explore the Gaziantep Defense and Heroism Panorama Museum.
