Located in the heart of St. Petersburg in the Shuvalov Palace in Russia, the Faberge Museum has a collection of 15 Faberge eggs and other decorative arts.
The museum was established in 2004, when the idea was first proposed to create museum devoted to Carl Faberge. All of the Imperial eggs that are housed in the museum have connections with Nicolas II and Alexander III, the last two Russian emperors. The museum's ornate interior is as much of a draw as its valuable contents.
Guided tours of the museum and its treasures are available, and a regular program of events including lectures and workshops is also offered.
