In Visakhapatnam near Gangavaram Port and Yarada, there is a hill that is shaped like a dolphin's nose.
Named from this very description, the natural formation is now a tourist attraction. While it owes its popularity to its unique shape, the hill also has quite a history. Before India got rid of its shackles from the British Crown, the place was a military camp. In the year 1804 during the British and French conflict in India, this hill witnessed the Battle of Vizagapatam.
This place also has a lighthouse that guided ships to the port for decades. The lighthouse is still there and worth a visit.
