The Dolores Olmedo Museum welcomes visitors with a display of natural beauty. It is surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens where peacocks, geese, ducks and many more roam freely. It is located on the former La Noria hacienda whose construction dates back to the end of the 16th century.
The museum boats the largest number of works by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo. It also hosts works by Angelina Beloff who was Rivera's partner during the time he was in Europe; The facility houses artifacts by Pablo O'Higgins who served as Rivera's assistant in some works. It also has more than 900 pieces of pre-Hispanic art.
