Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area is the site of a protected United States recreational destination. It is home to the 4000-foot canyon of the Columbia River that runs 80 miles through the Pacific Northwest. It forms the border between Oregon and Washington.
This area is filled with different ecosystems such as rain forests, grasslands and woodlands, which allows numerous endangered species to occupy the area.
Not only does the area provide scenic views of trees such as Douglas firs, Oregon white oak and ponderosa pine, it also a great destination for hikers, fishermen and bikers. In addition, it is also home to the breathtaking 620-foot high Multnomah Falls.
