Dominating the city, the Cathedral our Lady of Reims is located on the Basilica's site where Saint Remy baptized Clovis. The construction of the existing edifice begun around 1211 and was completed by the century's end, with the exception of the west front. The 81 meters tall towers were originally designed to rise to a height of 120 meters.
There are two huge bells on the southern tower, of which one weighs approximately 11 tons. Every façade of the Cathedral has an abundance of sculptures and statues. Do not forget to check the stained glass windows, particularly the rose window over the main portal.
