Casa Loma, literally Hill House in English, is one of Toronto‘s most interesting landmarks. It is a must-see attraction that invites more than 350,000 tourists every year.
This elegant Gothic-inspired house was built from 1911 to 1914 by Sir Henry Pellatt as a family home. However, due to rising taxes and the pressures of war, the house was vacated and left to ruin. Fortunately, it was restored and repurposed as an elegant museum.
