Also known by the name of Arena Chapel, the Cappella Degli Scrovegni is a small Church, which lies in close proximity to the Augustinian monastery.
The Chapel is famous for a fresco cycle completed about 1305 and made by Giotti, which is considered a significant masterpiece of Western art. Giotti along with his team members used frescos to cover all of the Chapel's internal walls, which includes the ceiling and the walls. The nave is 12.65 meters high, 8.41 meters wide, and 20.88 meters long.
The extensive cycles of the last element depict the life of the Virgin as well as the life of Christ.
