Curitiba is a city with many parks and squares, including the Bosque do Alemao (German Wood). Its establishment is linked to municipal administrations that prioritized this type of initiative and preserved many central areas for this purpose. Bosque do Alemão brings an interesting combination of green areas and old architecture that has been preserved.
It was inaugurated in 1996 and its name preserves the history and identity of immigrants from Germany who settled in the city in the mid 1880s. The park is located in a large area in a neighborhood known as Schaffer Garden.
From the outer garden, the walkway is connected to the lookout. Going down the Philosophers Tower, you will reach the Tales Way, a trail inside the forest that leads to the other end at the lowest point of the park.
