Bosque Colomos Park is located to the west of the municipality of Guadalajara. It provides an important recreational complex for residents and tourists. The park is mainly populated by three tree species: Eucalyptus, Pino Michoacano and Casuarinas. In addition, it also features other species, such as ash, jacarandas, ficus and cedars.
It provides refuge for countless birds and rodents threatened by urbanization. The park is an important rainwater collector since most of its soil is sedimentary and permeable. It offers places of recreation for the whole family from Monday to Sunday. Visitors can enjoy amenities activities, such as horse riding, aerobics, athletics, food area, sports courts, among others.
It has hosted international events, including the International Sculpture Symposium Colomos 96.
