The Bophut's Fisherman's Village is located on the northern coast of the island of Koh Samui, Thailand.
Chinese migrant fishermen arrived at Bophut many centuries ago. The traditional wooden houses that lined narrow streets in that era can still be seen in this part of town. The Fisherman's Village is now a popular shopping area. It is also well known for its many cafes, restaurants and hotels.
On Friday evenings the Fisherman's Village Walking Street market is set up here. One can shop for souvenirs, artifacts and clothing in vibrant colors. Innumerable stalls and vendors offer freshly cooked Thai food and snacks. Some restaurants also offer a Western menu.
