Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum in Udaipur is a living exhibit of the many brilliant folk cultural traditions which the Indian state of Rajasthan is famous for.
The articles on display inside the museum especially highlight the rich folk art and cultural heritage of the Mewar region of Rajasthan. The museum is in fact part of Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal's extensive program aimed at promoting and encouraging the different local arts and crafts traditions of Mewar.
The rare compilation of the museum exhibits an impressive and diverse array of articles ranging from rural ornaments, dresses and other objects of everyday use to folk musical instruments, dolls, masks and puppets used in traditional puppet theater, folk deities, icons and paintings and many more.
