Victoria, British Columbia is known as the city of flowers. Beacon Hill Park is located at the southern tip of Victoria, and it is a "must visit" destination for tourists visiting the city.
The park covers 200 acres and it features something for everyone, from rugged natural areas with rocks and Garry Oak trees, to stunning, manicured flower beds framed by tall Douglas Firs, and a petting zoo for children.
From the park you can see terrific views of the ocean with the tall peaks of the Olympic mountain range in nearby Washington State.
The park is within easy walking distance of downtown Victoria.
