Barry Island Pleasure Park dates from the late 19th century although was most popular during the 1930s. Today, it’s a much loved fixture in the South Wales seaside resort of Barry, and offers free admission, although tickets are required for the rides.
Over a dozen rides can be enjoyed at the pleasure park, ranging from coasters such as Hellraiser, to more sedate children’s rides and classic rides, such as dodgem cars.
The Star Flyer is over 150 feet high, making it one of the tallest rides in Europe. Rock, popcorn, ice cream and donuts can all be enjoyed here, and there are several fast food outlets.Places nearby:
