The Bang Namphueng Floating Market is in Samut Prakan, on the outskirts of Bangkok, Thailand. Unlike some of the other floating markets in the country, this one is not particularly crowded or large.
Once you park your vehicle on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, it is time to board one of the small boats that will take you around the market. Most of the stores are on land, and shoppers can visit them on boat. The market is surrounded by agricultural land, and it is not unusual to find vendors selling fresh produce from their boats.
This market is popular with locals, and you will be pleased to find authentic Thai food and snacks served at some of the small shacks here. You can try some seafood, soup and noodles.
